To be categorised as a Professional Client, you must fulfil 2 out of the 3 following criteria:
You have carried out at least 10 significantly sized transactions per quarter over the last four quarters.
Your financial portfolio, including cash deposits and financial instruments, exceeds EUR 500,000.
You have professional experience working in the financial sector for at least one year in a position which requires knowledge of the transactions or services envisaged.

As per the ESMA ruling, TopFX is required to restrict leverage on the products we offer to retail clients. Leverage restrictions do not apply to professional clients,however, please note that higher leverage may increase losses.
If you elect to be a professional client, we will not be required to provide you with Negative Balance Protection and therefore your losses may exceed your deposits.
For professional clients, we are not required to prioritise the overall costs of the transaction as being the most important factor in achieving Best Execution for you. Instead, if we determine that it is more important than overall cost, we may prioritise other factors, such as speed and likelihood of execution.

Based on your selection, you will register for an account with Fondex Limited, which is authorised and regulated as a Securities Dealer by the Financial Services Authority of Seychelles with License number SD037. Fondex Limited is not part of the European regulatory framework and is not in scope of (among others) the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID) II. In addition, there is no provision for an investor compensation scheme.
